Is liking not enough? Do I need to write on somebody's wall in order to get their attention? Do I need to post stuff on my own wall? The only people that seem to pay attention to me are the people that I don't like that much or know that well. Is it all too much when you have 3,000 friends. I only have 300 and I couldn't possibly keep up with all of them. A lot of them I have lost touch with, like the girl I knew in 5th grade or the boy I liked in 7th. I just get more and more depressed when I look at other people's facebook pages and think how perfect their lives are.
I am just pointing out that facebook is not a God or even a demigod or angel for that matter.
I have to agree with your comments on Facebook. The big issue is that we have absolute control over what is posted on our own profiles, making it very easy to perpetuate the idea of a perfect existence(not to say these people are actually perfect; They're just good at lying). this has got me thinking... how about an online site where only your accepted friends get to post your info? granted, i already see a vast pile of issues with such a setup, but it would be at least a little different, right?
