Sims 3 versus Second Life
Today's class was very interesting. It got me thinking about my addiction to Sims 3 and why I don't like Second Life. I didn't spend a lot of time there but my initial impression was that I don't like this stupid site. However, that being said I am totally addicted to Sims. From what I could tell, Second Life is not that different from Sims. The reason I like Sims is the fact that it is not web based and I feel safe. I know you can make it web based, but you have a choice. I like the privacy of Sims that you don't get in Second Life.

Don't you feel that the Sims 3 is also better than second life because you have actual goals to fulfill? It's more of a game rather than a place to creep around and be somebody that you're not! I completely agree that using the Sims is addicting but the privacy is a comfort.
ReplyDeleteI too love Sims 3 can't stand Secondlife i went on there, and don't understand how people can stay on there for hours. there are no goals to fulfill, it's just a glorified chatroom to have online relationships.
